Your Twilight story.. Part I

First of all let me thank you for the response. I know we all love to look back once in a while to get lost in the early days when we get to know Bella and Edward and the Cullens and this whole world that enchanted and changed us.

I got some wonderful emails about all your TwiStories and I'm going to present them all after each other.

Today I will present three stories of my friends. They are all different, yet in the end the same. Lean back, read them and get lost....

My Twilight story by
Fire Crotch
from We Bite Pretty Hard:

Every Sunday while doing my grocery shopping at my local WalMart I pass by the book section and peruse the best sellers. I started seeing these simple black book covers a couple of years ago and was intrigued, but for some reason I never dared to pick one up. Something told me that it just wasn’t right. Hindsight is 20/20. Anyway, last fall I noticed my niece’s room plastered with pictures of the aforementioned “actor who had the crazy unwashed nast hair.”

Yes, I am not proud of myself, but I ridiculed the suddenly emo pre-teen. Of course, I nevertotally had anything Christian Slater taped on my walls at her age. I started wondering about the appropriateness of these books for my niece. Certainly these were too adult for her...I was concerned for her soul. Around the same time, I decided that I should get aKindle. The reason I told everyone I wanted to get one was because I was traveling all the time and carrying around 2-3 books sucked; I really wanted the Kindle so I could read books that I was too embarrassed to read with the cover showing. I had an unfortunate experience a couple of years ago on a plane while reading Jennifer Weiner’s book Good In Bed (great read btw). Nuff said. Anyway, I thought, now is my time to read this Twilight book, to make sure it’s age appropriate for my niece of course. So I saved my Christmas money and my birthday money and finally got a Kindle. It arrived on my doorstep the next day, I shipped it overnight of course. I unwrapped it, caressed it, and then had to charge it before its first use. Bah, must have instant gratification! Of course, you all know what happened next. Waiting with baited breath, I downloaded my first e-book…Why We Suck…hehe seriously, by Denis Leary, it was hilarious. Still a little wary, I waited to download my secret yearning…it seemed so wrong. But I had to do it…for my niece. And then I threw caution to the wind and downloaded Twilight. I read all of the books and Midnight Sun in a week. It was crazy. You all know how it takes over your life. I barely slept. I read the books on my iPhone during meetings. (Yeah, I'm gadgety okay?) Somehow I felt like I had cheated my book reading shame. I even admitted to my niece that I was reading the books (which she totally almost ruined for me!). I was joyful…giddy even just thinking about the world of questionable reading material that was now open to me. And then one night on a crowded plane it happened…I heard a guy behind me whisper, “hey, isn’t that a Kindle?” OMG, people were going to want to see it. What was I going to do? Panic stricken, my first thought was to jam it back in my bag and hide it. Thankfully, I was saved by the bell (the plane began its descent), and I had to turn it off and put it away.

(......) So now my secret is out…the girl blushing and fanning herself while sitting next to you on the airplane reading her Kindle definitely is not reading Jane Eyre.

Ahh Fire, first of all I didn't know you had a Kindle that long. Second: Well yes it makes sense that you only read Twilight for the sake of your nice. How veryvery considered of you! One sentence really apparently works for all of us: "You all know how it takes over your life"
*heavy sigh* yes!! It does, it's horrible at first, since you can't stop thinking about Sparkly Vamps and Edward..OhMyEdward... When I read your post it reminds me also how freaking funny you are and how I adore reading your blog. Please!! come back to blogging, do I need to kick your ass for it? Please don't let me kick you but come.please.back.! Seriously, I mean it!

My Twilight
story by
fragile little human:

When Mark Twain said that, he couldn’t have know that, many years later, grown women would be afraid to tell people how much they’ve been sucked in by a series of YA books about sparkly vampires. If so, maybe Tom Sawyer would have been a vamp, Huckleberry Finn a wolf, and Becky Thatcher the clumsy human torn between them. Then again, probably not.

Mark Twain, wondering how he missed the vamp trend

Mark Twain, wondering how he missed the vamp trend

I never had any intention of reading the Twilight series. The only vampire I ever liked was Mick St. John on Moonlight, and that had nothing to do with his being a vampire ifyouknowwhatimean. My husband likes watching those vampires-are-ugly-and-kill-with-gratuitous-violence movies, of which I’m not a fan at all. And True Blood? It’s like watching Dark Shadows meets Steel Magnolias meets porn. Worst. Accents. Ever.

Alex OLoughlin, however, has a yummy fake accent
Alex O'Loughlin, however, has a yummy fake accent

My husband, temporarily possessed by Satan, rented Twilight from the local video store several weeks ago. My question to him: “Isn’t that a kid movie? And what’s this vampire crap?” I watched with him, fully expecting to fall asleep after a few minutes.

Then those damn Cullens walked into the cafeteria. That was all she wrote.

When I asked my SIL if she’d seen the movie, she said, “Yeah, but the book is SO much better.” Great, now I had to read the book, too. And she was right. As much as I loved the movie (yeah, so sue me), I LOVED the book. I would go to work glassy eyed the next morning, and I’m sure my coworkers thought I was on crack. I learned quickly that I needed to ration the Twilight saga reading to 4 chapters a night, no matter how much it drove me nuts.

I still haven’t read all the books, because, as an exercise in self-control, I’m taking a break in between each book. Of course, I’ve learned to fill all that time by readingTwilight blogs, so I might as well be reading the books. My husband thinks I’ve lost my mind when I sit and laugh at Twitarded’s Pocket Edward or the posts and comments at Random Acts of Rob or pretty much everything posted at Twilight Widowers Anonymous. We’ve been together almost 8 years now; he should know I’ve lost my mind.

Since he won’t read the books so I can talk to him about them and my friends are still shaking their heads at me, I started this blog. Yeah, I know, like we needed one more grown woman talking about Twilight. Deal.

*giggles* you know what I find super funny? It was in the end your husband who brought you to Twilight. You have to ask him if he ever regrets the day when he took the Twilight DVD home. So you fell first in love with the movie, I think not many started first with the movie! I so love the scene when the Cullens come into the cafeteria I always sit up in excitement when I see this scene or hear the music. It somehow never gets old! I am really in love with the movie, very much the same like with the book. However, I'm glad you started this blog, otherwise we probably wouldn't have met!

My Twilight story
by
cutie
from SSTB:

So, here is my Twi-story. It's simple, but real:

I will never forget that fate filled day when I picked up a copy of Twilight. It all started pretty innocently. It will be a year ago this August (08). I was literally living under a rock, having just had my fourth child. Surrounded by kids, diapers, dishes & countless other responsible I had reached the end of the proverbial rope. I knew where I could find instant relief, a compelling story. So I sent out a plead to all my friends, asking for someone to recommend a book. Immediately I got a reply which read as follows : If you haven't read Twilight then you MUST! I will even lend you the books if you'd like.

Trusting my friend's taste, I went out that afternoon to Barnes & Noble. I'm the kind of girl who doesn't like to wait, so I decided to pick up New Moon, as well. The next day, having finished Twilight & at that point being halfway through New Moon, I rushed to Target and bought Eclipse. Three days later I had finished all four books (I made myself wait a whole day between finishing Eclipse and buying Breaking Dawn due to the travesty that was our house). When I had completed all four and read Midnight Sun, I immediately started rereading Twilight.

Thus the cycle continued for weeks on end. I poured over the books, dissecting each part. At times, I would get so emotional about the story, I would literally throw the books across the room & storm out (poor Eclipse). At first my husband thought something was terribly wrong, however a month later he just believed I was insane. Especially after I stormed into our office and randomly yelled at him,"STUPID BELLA NEEDS TO STOP BEING A MORON! FREAKING MORON!! WHY WOULD SHE DO THAT TO EDWARD! EDWARD!!!" Then I'd rushed out of the room, back to the book where it laid on the floor to throw myself on the couch and start reading again.

I fell in love with not only the characters but with Meyer herself. I loved the story. The essence of it all. NO, I do not believe she is the greatest writter EVER, but I do believe she is a pretty damn good writer. And honestly, the woman created Mr. Cullen thus introduced Mr. Pattinson into my life, how could I not forever adore her?

All of that led me to pursuing the webernet in search of news, hell anything to keep the story going. Blogs, fan sites, fanfic, message boards.... I started sharing with my friends. Encouraging them to read the books while making sure to warn them their lives would NEVER be the same again. And this doesn't even touch the movie and the five times I saw it. Yep FIVE TIMES!

So there it is. A simple version of my Twi-story.

Well it has to be said, that cutie brought a lot of us together, I'm so thankful of this. When I read your story, cutie it totally reminds me of how we all got here. For the love of a book. Books we read not only once but many times in a row. You read it five times in a row? Well yes, I did the same!! I couldn't put them back, when finished one I started over with the next. "..warn them their live will never be the same again" This is so true, but I had no idea in what I was getting into, but even if I had know it I would have done the same!! When I read your post, I also totally enjoyed the comments, again it reminds me how it all begun - our friendship the community. Lovely comments there, from lovely people. :)

Links to cutie:

I loved reading all of the stories and although I know them all, read them before it's always lovely to look back. Apart from our immediate addiction we all didn't want to read them in the first place. Why? I guess because it was supposed to be a story for teen? Those years are over for the most of us, I mean I'm 31 and my girls featured today are about the same age, more or less. Teen girls all over the world seemed addicted to those books, so did we really want to read a cheesy love story. The answer in the end is easy: Yes, YES and Y E S!!!

So let me again ask you:
How is your Twistory, how did it all started?
Want to be featured here and
tell your story?

When Girl meets Girl and they share a love for Books....

then... they team up and make a BookBlog!

A few weeks ago (I just finished Fallen I think), I had this desperate wish to talk about this book and thought how cool it would be to have a Book Blog. But, I have my wonderful Vanquish blog here (how do I love you *sniffles*) and I have my Blog Design Site so there is no time for one more blog. I wouldn't be able to run it alone.

But, I have friends! Friends who read as much as I do and who love books just like me and I just asked them why not do it together?! Guess what? They agree instantly! Who wonderful is that?

Here are the lovely Ladies who will run this Blog with me:

This was the easy part, then we had to think about a name... OoooooOoO this was a bit more challenging but finally we agreed on

So if you love books like we do and like talking about it then please meet us at the Bookworms Home and spread the word. Oh and we have one more goodie, we have a Forum where we can discuss books freely spoilery and funny.

So it would be wonderful if some of you would find your way over to our blog and share with us the Love for books. And it would be even more wonderful if you would Grab Our Button and Link back to us:

For the Love of books and Beautiful Creatures!

Lots of us are here because we felt in love with Twilight in the first place, which was a book that immediately hooked you. Same happened with Beautiful Creatures.

I will keep spoilers to a minimum and just try to explain what makes this book and his character so intriguing , lovely and just a Must-Read.

Why do I love the book:

Ethan: He is the main character and the whole story is written from his point if view. He's sweet sixteen and a normal guy who lives in a tiny town in the South. His mom died and his father is a writer who looked himself into his room after the death of his wife. Although he is raised in a small town, he is different and tries to hide it from his friends and just appears like every one of the other kids in town. He is strong and has personality and clearly is not small minded like most of the kids and people in town!

Lena: She is the new girl, she is mysterious and extremely beautiful. And because she is new and different everyone hates her right from the beginning. She is fascinating because she is clearly different and one has no clue what makes her so different. She moves in with her Uncle who is apparently the creepies and weirdest person in town. She wears a necklace with tons of junk on it, which I found so lovely! :)

Apart from the main characters there are some secondary character which are as much as important and as much as interesting!

Macon: I clearly love this mysterious guy! He is definitely my favorite character in the books! He is Lenas Uncle but nobody ever saw him in town. He is even more mysterious than Lena and the towns people like to gossip about him. When we finally meet him he is such a charismatic guy that I really felt for him

Amarie: She takes care of Ethan and his father and is the mother role in Ethans live. Apparently he can read Tarot cards and like putting small Talisman thingys everywhere in the house. She is a super strong person and really has the reins in her hand. Although she is rigorous, all she wants is the best for Ethan and therefore one cannot NOT like and love her!

Marian: She was Ethan's moms best friend and the head of the local library. She lives for books so she is always citing something or someone. She is funny and really a crazy scientist but a great friend.

Link: The crazy best friend of Ethan who is loyal to his friend above all what might happen he is the best friend you could think of!

Love Story:

Ethan has dreams about a girl and he knows somehow that he is connected to this girl although he has no clue who that girl is. Lena and Ethan are meant to be together we get that right from the beginning but we have no idea why! It's an innocent love story, but strong enough to keep you hooked and fascinated.

What is up with Lena? Why has Ethan dreams about a girl he doesn't even know?
So will the get together? Will love triumph about all the things which keep them apart?

All you can do to find that out is read the book. You will not get disappointed!
And then be part of the book discussion fragile, Greta & friends are holding and discuss the book chapter by chapter with them!

So girls, when you read it why do you love the books? (without being too spoilerish...) And for the ones who didn't read it, why do you want to read it?

I have one more thing to make you want to read it. You saw those incredible pictures I found I posted here?

They are from Vania's Life Captures she did this Photoshot specially for this book and she made a trailer for it .. and damn it it's awesome, fantastic, wonderful and everything:

Some Kindle and Beautiful Creatures Love !

Looookkkk at my new Love and toy! This week I got a Kindle and I am sooo freaking in love with it! I love reading book, tons of books and hubs always gets crazy when I pack our bags for holidays and I take at least 5 big books with me. So he asked if this wouldn't be something for me. The ones who know me a bit know about my passion for technical stuff and I said YES YES get me one!
Although one can buy it here in Germany it's still send from the US so FireCrotch (How I adore that woman...!) helped me to get one...

Apart from just getting it finally in my hands, I was excited because the first book I bought for it was Beautiful Creatures! I desperately wanted to read it since fragile and cutie started talking about this book and how wonderful and amazing it is. So I just decided to read it without even reading the Summary. This was the first book I'll ever read on my Kindle and I ever read without knowing anything apart from the fact that people I love like it...

I just started and I'm in the early third of the book and I love it! I won't post any spoilers here but Ethan is a cute boy and Lena is super intriguing.

What I find amazing is that at the moment writing stories from a certain POV is so popular. I barley read a book before which was written only from one POV but Twilight did it, The Host,
The Vampire Diaries (which are in fact much older than Twilight!), The Sookie books (which are also older than Twilight) and now Beautiful Creatures.

What is surprising was that here we have a guy's POV, we get into Ethans head and Lenas head remains mysterious. I think it was a good choice and I really like being in his mind:)

One thing you might need to know before getting into that story is: It is NOT Twilight, don't go and compare it is something else but so worth to read!

Fragile and her friend Greta were so excited about this book that they started a discussion on fragiles blog. We will discuss 4 chapters each week on Sunday and fragile and Greta will do a Recap of the comments Thursdays! Check out the Discussion Schedule here! It's still time to start reading it and be part of the discussion. I know how wonderful it is to do these kind of discussions it's amazing to read all the comments from the people and their interpretation.

Oh and.. *blushes* fragile asked me to write a part of the discussion and I was thrilled and so happy that she did and wanted me to be a part of this! My part will be posted end of next month, (I still need to get to the chapters I have to recap *giggles*)

So and no go and buy this book and read it! It will be worth it!

Give and Take - Fan Fic spotlight!

I've never posted much about Fan Fictions here on my blog, mostly because other blogs do that much better than me. But Fan Fiction is a huge part in our Twilife since we all read a lot of those wonderful stories out there.

I never had the intention to write a story although I love reading, but I'm not a good writer so I let people do that which really can write! Really! Well and it happens that some of my beloved friends write wonderful stories.

I have to admit I really was a bad bad friend lately. I never reviewed my beloved fics and I haven't even read the newest chapters. I was distracted... But I know how important it is for authors to get feedback and reviews, which makes it even worse I didn't review lately..
Anyway, all this here works because we are a community and this means giving and taking. I took all the stories and never gave something back. I realized I had to do something, to make up for my reluctance.

Which is why today, I gonna talk about two of my all time favorite stories and I'll tell you why I love them.

Here is the summary from Betti:
Annie is a single woman, fetching, lucky and mildly obsessed with Twilight. She doesn't miss a thing in her life. Until one day she sees her own personal Edward. Her fantasy starts running wild about a beautiful boy, way too young to even think about it

Why do I love this story? (Apart from the fact that it's Betti who wrote that...)

I love unique stories and Betti's writing style is something I've never seen somewhere else and if you know Betti, you immediately recognize herself in this story.
Annie is like Betti a tough independent woman who happens to fall in Love with Twilight - just like us girls! She has not much love in her life until the day she meets her own Edward in the train: Kiddo, or RPatzz 2.0. He's much younger than she is, but that can't keep the two away from each other.

Most of the fics we are reading are about Edward and Bella, even Jake and Renesthings (how does one spell this name?) but there is nowhere a fic about us. A woman just like us who falls in love with the books and dreams about meeting her own Edward and that is what makes Bettis story so unbelievable adorable and lovely.

I love how Betti brings all those Twilight quotes into her story and creates situations around it. Most of us all know the quotes from the book and specially the movie by heart so it's awesome how Annie always finds the perfect quote for her situation!

Why should you read it?

Because I'm sure there is nothing like Bettis story out there and you will fall in love with this wonderful strong woman that is Annie. And you will love this wonderful cute and vulnerable boy that is Edward. It's a sweet love story and some really hot lemons, but it goes also so much deeper into the souls of Edward and Annie.
It's all funny, hot, sexy, sweet, lovely, innocent, amazing and just truly a wonderment!

This is my Banner for you Betti
(although you can do that much better but I wanted to make something for you... )

Here is the summary:
After 91 years, Bella returns to Chicago to find a mate. Edward mourns the loss of his humanity and his abandonment by his maker. Can they overcome their dark pasts and forgive?

Why do I love this story ?
First, the story is about Vampires and I love fictions about Vampires, there are tons of wonderful fics about humans but the Vampire ones are rare so I appreciate a good Vampire story. But this one is different.
Bella is an old Vampire who lives a "normal" vampire live, meaning she kills to feed. She felt in love with Edward while he was a human, turned him but they didn't see each other again. I love that fragile - who writes Bellas POV creates a Bella which is how a Vampire is supposed to be, meaning a killer but still, you will love Bella because she feels lonely and vulnerable and she's searching for love in her existence.
Pushy (who writes Edwards POV) has always a deep feeling for her characters and really creates the counterpart to Bella. Edward is a lonely tortured and innocent boy who never could forget Bella. And Edward works in Carlisle science lab, which I love!

Fragile creates a violent sexy Bella while pushy creates the counterpart, the innocent lovely Edward. So far, the story lives from those opposed characters.

Why should you read it?

If you love Vampire stories as much as I do, than read it. Bella is an old Vampire and the chapters fragile writes are sometimes deep and violent but never over the top so that you would feel uncomfortable. She seems to know what she can do to us ... Edward is how we love him (at least I do), tortured, vulnerable and sweet innocent.
It's the contrary what makes this story so special, together with the incredible writing skills from fragile and pushy.

This is my Banner for you...
(you might recognize parts of your banner here...)

I truly adore all the 3 authors I mentioned here and I hope you step by and read their wonderful story and leave them your love. I, now go and read the chapters I missed and I will also promise now to review. (I truly hope you are not mad at me and I promise to be a better friend in the future!)

I love you!

My wonderful Twilight Year 2009

Today, I went out for a walk in the park which is close to my home and I remembered my last year with Twilight and smiled. I had my iPod with my and I heard the Twilight audiobook I just bought at iTunes and I remembered the beginning. Last year, March it happened that I found Twilight ( I already talked about all this in detail here) and I started by hearing the audiobook. I spend hours in the park walking around and listening to this wonderful story, it literally crashed on me. This moment changed my life and brought so much joy to me. After I've seen the movie I was hooked and this whole new world draw me in...

I started reading blogs and was just a lurker for some time until hubs asked me why not to start my own blog. Hu? Could I really do that? Me? I'm not a writer but I wanted an outlet to express my incredible love for the books and this movie. So June this year I just did it, I started this here, my own Twilight home. Which was just one more wonderment along all these wonderful things happened last year.

When the first people came to read my stuff here I couldn't believe it! I will be forever thankful the adorable cutie found me!

July, I joined Twitter. Gosh! Twitter really is a whole world on it's own. It was wonderful to meet so many wonderful people there who are as addicted and devoted as I am. Twitter also brought Fire Crotch to my blog who read about my lack of The Precious I and didn't hesitate but send me a copy right away. Yes this is the wonderment of the Twi community I'm blessed to be part of.

In July I also did my first video, my attempt to deal with my enormous obsession with this pretty face of Rob! People actually like it?! Hu?! Couldn't believe it again...

July and August cutie started the Wide Awake discussion which was so wonderful and truly brought us all so much closer together. It was a such a great time and I enjoyed it a lot! I was happy to be also part of it and I did a Wide Awake video as a farewell.

In August I also got my first layout for my blog and I will never forget the joy I felt when I finally saw it online. This was when I started playing around with html and designs. But this design I got from a super talented designer. (My dear old Vanquish layout, I gonna miss you *sniffles*)

It was in September where I spoke out about my Twipurness and my attempt to avoid any spoilers out there in the world, and I managed! I will definitely still need to talk about how it affected the way I saw New Moon!

In this month something else happend which brought so much more love into my life. I created the "wonderful comment award" inspired by Betti and you remember what she did? No?! She proposed to me! Yes she did : "Will you fucking marry" and sure I accepted and since then thw two of us are Twigaged ... OoOOO!

October was a wonderful month and a truly busy one, it was the month of the Book vs Movie Discussion. I did this together with Betti's Fanny and it was a freaking wonderful time! I was stunned about the response we got and how all of you were part of this with all your awesome comments. It was tons of work but it was so worth it when we saw all of you here on my blog!
I desperately hope Fanny will do this again with me.... Pretty please, I beg you!

November *gasp* - November - freaking November! How long did we all waited for this month?!! It was the month of New.freaking.Moon! And besides the excitement that New Moon comes closer, I had something else to be excited about. I met my Twinancé Betti, here at my place to watch New Moon together!?! Hello?! How awesome is that?
It was wonderful, it was awesome, it was fantastic, it was - put in all the word that express this wonderment. We had such a great time and I didn't know that I could love more, but I did!

My fucking Twigagement Bracelet from Betti!!!!

It was around that time when I finally started my own Blog Design page called Twispired Blogdesign.

Twispired blogdesign

I learned so much about html the last weeks that I badly wanted to really design blogs. I've never been a creative mind, I'm a scientist but in designing blog I finally found something where I could be creative. KG from i heart mythical creatures and cutie form Super Secret Twilight blog were the first peeps who were brave enough to gave their blogs into my hand. I could't imagine how much joy it brought to my in designing blogs, and specially Twilight blogs! I still can't really believe that...

End of November I did my first interview with a wonderful Fan Fiction author, fragile little human was brave enough to come over here and talked with me about her story Breath Me. It turned out wonderful and she let me even announce the Sequel to Breath Me!

December, this was a month where I mostly designed blog for so many wonderful people. For my friends out there in the Twiworld which was why I really neglected my beloved blog a bit. Can you forgive me? Pretty please? But, it was so amazing working with all those peeps on their blogs.

But December was also the month of wonderful Twipresents, I got from my friends. Annie, send me a beautiful necklace with a moon and earrings with crystal hearts, why?!? I still don't know why I deserved something like this but she just wanted to thank me for being part of her giveaway on the Danger Magnet. Well, Annie, it was all MY pleasure and I truly love the wonderful sparkling jewels.

Uhm, yes it's me waring Annies earrings..

I was also part of the Secret Santa thingy my friends from the Lemmon Sisters hold. Where I designed a blog for itsjustme: The RobMusement park .

But I got the freaking best presents ever! From Heather (Call of Duty Widow) I'm so happy to call her a friend because she put so much thought into her presents that it made me tear up! ( Which reminds me that Betti gave me a name: WIME which I truly deserve btw. It means Water In My Eyes. Well Thank you Betti). I got Alice gloves (self knitted), a Vamp magazine, trinkets for my twi - bracelet and she wrote me a freaking wonderful letter! Read about all I said about this here!

Me holding all my precious presents from Heather

And I got all those wonderful Christmas cards from you my friends. Thank You!

Well this was my year Twilight Year 2009. Thanks to all of you how I can call friends now who are part of my life here in this bloggyspere: my freinds, my Twinacé, my followers, commenters, lurkers - I mean all of you. You all made this a beautiful year! I hope this year will be as beautiful!

Monday, November 30

Breath Me interview and a huge surprise !!

Before we start I have to tell that I am super excited about this post. Today I have fragile little human here and she agreed to talk to me about Breathe Me.

Don’t know about what I’m talking about??

Breathe Me is a fanfiction story which takes place after Edward left Bella in New Moon. But, instead of coming back, Bella started a new life trying to forget Edward and find new peace in her life without her big love. What makes the story even more interesting is that it is a crossover story between Twilight and Moonlight. What the heck is Moonlight you might ask?

Moonlight was a really cool Vampire TV show some time ago, unfortunately they stopped the show after just one season. Fragile little human includes now these two Vampire worlds and creates a world of her own.

Why am I so excited about talking about Breathe Me? I started reading Breathe Me right from the beginning, and I was immediately hooked. Fragile is a wonderful writer and she is super talented. New Moon is my favorite book because it’s on one side so heartbreaking when Edward leaves Bella and on the other side I was super angry with him doing something so extraordinarily stupid. Breathe Me is a wonderful story with a grown up and mature Bella and I love her. Let’s talk about this with fragile, but first I have a little surprise for you from my wonderful Twincé Betti, she made this just for you :

Warning: This post is full of Breath Me Spoilers, so if you haven't read it, don't read on!!! Why the heck haven't you read it yet anyway?

Enough introductions, let’s start!

Welcome fragile, I am so excited to have you here. I was in love with Breathe Me right from the beginning. But let me ask you, did you write stories before Breathe Me? Maybe not Twilight fan fiction but something else?

Thanks for asking me and for loving my story so much! Nope, I've never written anything before...unless you count computer software manuals :)

Why did you choose that your story take place in New Moon just after Edward left? Was it because you love New Moon so much or because you was so frustrated with the book?

While I love New Moon, I was very frustrated with how easy Edward got off in the end. He lied, he broke Bella's heart, and he deserted her. But Bella never really made him pay for that. Sure, I understand that she had to save his life in Italy (after all, how boring would Eclipse and Breaking Dawn be without Edward? *grin*), but, when they returned to Forks, she should have kicked his ass, at least a little. That frustrated me to no end. Oh, and the "I can't believe you believed me when I said I didn't love you" crap made me want to throw my book across the room. Good thing I'm very careful with my books ;)

Oh I totally agree with you with this quote from the book " I can't believe, blah" But I remember your Bella handled that a bit different in Chapter 13. "How dare you pretend to be wounded because I trusted and believed you? You don't get to play the victim here." This was awesome! Although I felt a bit bad for Edward, he truly deserved that!

Yeah, my Bella totally wasn't going to let him get away with that!

Where does Moonlight and Mick come in?

First, I LOVE Moonlight, and I was terribly upset when it was cancelled. In the story, however, I thought it would be interesting to mix the two canons. Plus, I wanted a more interesting reason for Edward's return than "he changed his mind" or "oh, no, here comes Victoria again!" Mick was the perfect reason: a vampire who, while completely harmless to Bella, would seem very threatening to Edward. Plus, I just love Mick *swoon*

Yes, I can read that in your story, you put in quite some love creating Mick as a character for Breathe Me. As you mention now the mix of the two canons I found it pretty clever how you did that. The Cold Ones being an older form of the Vampires, how did you came up with this idea?

I like the idea that, over the millennia, the vampire could evolve, taking on characteristics that made it a more effective hunter. If you compare the Twilight and Moonlight canon, it's the Moonlight vampires who could blend in and hunt more effectively. That allowed there to be a built-in tension between the two vampire lines, one thinking they're more advanced than the other. After reading the chapter where Mick describes the differences, my lovely beta said that she pictured Edward in a loincloth. That's when I started all the caveman references; I knew it would make her laugh.

Your Bella is so much different from the Bella we know from Stephenie Meyer; she is mature and grown up. Is your Bella just different because you wanted her like that or is your Bella so strong because of the things she had to go through to reach the point where your story starts?

It's a little of both. I didn't want my Bella to be the standard damsel-in-distress. I wanted her to stand up, brush herself off, and move on with her life without Edward. I also wanted her to become strong enough to be able to take Edward back on her terms, not his.

Oh yes the Reunion didn't went so smooth like in New Moon, when Bella first saw that Edward came back she was furious instead of just happy to see him. But she had to go through a lot because of him. Actually I loved the part where Bella told him to breathe in her "Now you know how I felt." You made it not easy for Edward. How did you feel for him while writing those chapters?

I love Edward; I'm Team Edward all the way. But that doesn't mean he should always get away with his bull$hit. I love that scene because it gave Bella some of the power and allowed her to turn the tables on Edward, who was always getting her hot and bothered then turning her down in the books.

Talking about Edward, I smiled so many times reading about him in your story. Here Edward reacts much more like a teenager. Did you miss that in the Twilight books?

In the books, Edward is always worldly and wise, and, even though he's been 17 "a while," he never acts 17. However, he's a virgin and never had a relationship with a woman. I think it's reasonable that, in those respects, he would be unsure and a little awkward. After all, we all had health class, but I'd hazard a guess we weren't experts in the sack, no matter how old we were when we finally got there.

You created quite a thick bond between Edward and Mick. It feels like Mick acts more like a mentor to Edward and a good friend. Edward doesn't really have friends; he has his family but no friends. How do you see the relationship between Mick and Edward?

That's exactly how I see it. While Edward is unsure and virginal, Mick has definitely had experience with women, both as a human and a vampire. He's already trudged through the doubt of his relationship with Beth, and he knows exactly how Edward feels, what his concerns are. And, if you've seen the TV show, Mick always tries to help the people and vampires around him. He's just that kind of guy.

We have to talk about this, although it broke my heart: Charlie's death. On one hand I was extremely upset about this, but on the other hand his dead made it easier for Bella to move on with Edward. What was your reason behind Charlie's death?

I love Charlie, and I wanted to redeem him after SM had him be an ass and basically congratulate Jake for assaulting Bella in Eclipse. I always see Charlie as Billy Burke/movie Charlie, which is so much more than book Charlie. That said, his death was planned from the very beginning, as was Renee's.

There was two reasons for that. (1) One of book Edward's arguments against turning Bella was that she'd have to leave her family behind. Making her an orphan took that argument away. (2) Most importantly, seeing Bella lose Charlie allows Edward to see death and loss as something real and tangible rather than some lofty, romantic notion. Seeing Bella's grief makes Edward realize that he'd do anything to keep her with him.

Those chapters have been pretty tough to read, but you did a wonderful job there and you spoke right to my heart during these chapters. How hard was it for you to write?

Very difficult. I cried a lot writing it. Having lost my mother suddenly when I was in my early 20s, I remember very clearly what that first night and days after were like. Writing Bella's feelings in those chapters are probably the closest I've ever come to explaining how I felt then.

However, I thought that the Cullens would come to the funeral. Why didn't they?

In the wedding chapter, Edward says that he doesn't have the family at the wedding because "we need to do this our way, Bella and I." I wanted the story to be about Edward and Bella coming to terms with their past and the things that happen to them once they reunite as adults and as a couple. If the Cullens come into the story too soon, the decisions begin to be colored too much by the input of the family. The Cullens are giving Edward and Bella their space, and Carlisle only comes towards the end when he's called.

A really tough thing was when Bella went out to kill Charlie's murderer, but I could understand this easily from her point of view. But then you let Edward kill him instead. Not just killing him but ripping his heart out, this was really hard! Why did Edward just not bite and drain him?

Wow, um, I just liked the visual of him ripping someone's heart out and it still beating in his hands. Plus, I think Edward wouldn't want to drink a human's blood; it would kinda set up a bad precedent ;)

Then you surprised the hell out of me by Edward's request that Mick changes Bella! Clever! Did you have this in mind right after starting the story, or did this idea came up while writing?

That was planned from the beginning. It only made sense to me that Edward would want Bella's existence to be easier than his. One reviewer said they couldn't understand why Edward would trade the ability to survive on animal blood and never having to sleep for a dependence on human blood and a body that's not indestructible. As Mick and Edward explain in the changing chapter, however, Bella doesn't have bloodlust, she doesn't have to kill to feed, and she can blend in with humans if she needs to. Edward's thoughts say it best, I think. "If anything ever happened to him, Bella would be able to blend in with humans and live a life of freedom he'd never know."

What I really loved was that Bella told Edward that SHE wants to marry him! Wonderful! I found it super confusing that Bella reacted so stupid in New Moon and Eclipse about Edward's proposal. Why does your Bella now want to marry him?

Book Bella is such an idiot about that! "I'll give up my life and possibly my soul for you, but marriage is too big a commitment." WHAT?! How does that even make sense? My Bella sees Jackson's and Angela's marriages, and she understands the meaning of that kind of commitment. She wants it for herself, and she wants it with Edward. She doesn't see anything wrong with letting him know that.

Ok, I don't tell a secret that I am a big crier. But I cried like a baby during the "changing" Chapters. Thank you for bringing in some erotic moments, I always pictured it like that.

Thanks! I was worried about the change scene, how people would react to what Mick and Edward do. I'm very glad to know that you didn't dislike that part, because it was important to me that Edward have something of Bella since he wasn't the one changing her. As Mick thinks in chapter 12:

Irregardless of the circumstances in which it occurs, drinking the blood of a lover is the most erotic experience a vampire can have. He imagined the same was true for a Cold One, except that their lovers tended to not survive the feeding. It must be agonizing, he thought, to know the one thing you crave the most is the one thing you can never have. Edward's guilt over feeling such pleasure in the midst of such a horrible situation must be tremendous.

In the change scene, Edward has one last chance to feel pleasure and not guilt when he drinks Bella's blood. He might be ashamed, but, ultimately, it is a gift he's been given by Mick and Bella.

Oh my goodness, but we are coming to the end now. This makes me so incredibly sad, but let's talk about the last chapters.

You described the moments when Edward was there sitting beside Bella and waiting for her to wake up really emotionally. His desperate wish for her to wake up. Honestly shortly I thought you might let her die!

No no no no no, I'd never kill Edward or Bella. I'm a faithful E & B shipper, and, no matter what hell I put them through, I'd make sure they ended up together.

You surprised me once more, when he could hear her thoughts and when she "talked" to him. How did this idea come up?

There were two scenes in Breaking Dawn that I really liked. The first is when Edward can hear the baby's thoughts in the womb, and he realizes that she loves Bella. The second is when Bella is able to drop her shield and let Edward hear her thoughts. Since Bella wasn't changed by Edward, the shield power didn't materialize, but I still wanted them to have that mental connection they have at the end of Breaking Dawn. I thought having her be able to at least communicate some of her thoughts to Edward would be cool.

In the end it was great leading towards a happy ending, she met Charlie and Renee and could get her peace. I think that was your intention?

Absolutely. When you lose a parent, you often end up wondering what they would think of the choices you've made, would they support you and be proud of you. I gave Bella the opportunity to know those answers, because, after all, forever would be a long time to have those questions.

But finally she woke up - thank you! I was so happy it all went well in the end.

*sniffles* Ok we are really close to the end now. It was a bit sad when they all went to the airport to say Goodbye. Mick and Beth both won my heart and now they go.

I was so sad when I wrote that scene. They all had created this new little family in the void left behind by Charlie, and then they had to go their separate ways. *sniffle*

You gave us another surprising moment when you revealed Jackson's wife being a vampire! Why did you do that? Is there a special reason behind it?

I actually had a whole scene in my head where Mick and Bella go to buy retail blood and run into Jackson's wife there, but it didn't really fit into the story. Instead, I decided to have her reveal herself to Bella at the end. It's kinda of my way of showing that the elite community Josef talks about is bigger than anyone knows, that their bloodline can blend in with humans so well that Bella couldn't tell Jackson's wife was a vampire.

And just as a sidenote: I love that Josef wrote the letter to Bella and Sparklepuss (hilarious) and gave her the Jaguar as a gift! You know I love these exclusive cars.

You're not the only one - Greta, my lovely beta, loves Josef. No, you don't understand, she LOVES Josef. :)

The end of the story was absolutely perfect, Bella and Edward at the Meadow!! So wonderful, and actually here we have my favorite quote from Edward: "Lead the way, love." Absolutely fantastic! If he would have let her lead right from the beginning so much wouldn't have happened, and they would have their happy ending so much earlier!

Exactly! It took Edward a while, but he finally figured out that he can't just control and decide everything and expect Bella to follow along. In the end, their relationship is becoming a partnership, and Edward realizes that he makes better decisions when he lets Bella be a part of them.

Ok, I have to, I really have to ask this one burning question. I think I'm not the only one who would beg you for this, but is there a possibility that we might see Edward, Bella, Mick, Beth, and maybe Josef again??

Well, tomorrow (December 1st) I'm posting the first chapter of an AH Alice-centered story titled Spell My Heart. It's only five chapters long, so it will end the last Tuesday of December. Also, I'm starting a new AH Bella/Edward story titled Not That Cool (Bella's a geek, and Edward is the non-geek that maybe kinda loves her), and the first chapter of that is tentatively scheduled to go up December 11th. Then, in Spring 2010, I plan to write a Breathe Me sequel. I know my major plot points, but I don't have a detailed outline yet. I can give you two "spoilers" though:

1 - You'll get to see what the Cullens are up to in Anchorage.

2 - There will be lots of Josef. I mean LOTS of Josef :)

So everyone go and add an author alert, pretty please!

*jumps up and down in excitement* OOoooOOoooO really??? I'm freaking out!!! Girls, did you all read that ?? We will get a sequel!!!!! This is awesome! Thank you so much!

Thank you! I've gotten so much support from my blog and Twitter friends and my readers/reviewers! I won't go through my epic A/N again, but I'm really thankful for all my wonderful friends in the fandom! *hugs* *kisses*
