The Book vs. Movie Discussion Pt.4

Before we start I have to apologize for this cruel delay. We had to deal with some stuff, so there was no way to deliver this earlier. My beloved Twiance Betti was sick and still is, but this was just one part of the problem. I was the other one, I had tons of stuff to do at work and then I was out of town for some time. Anyway, please please forgive us and please read our last part of the Twilight vs. Book discussion! I love you all!

The "Book vs. Movie" Discussion (Pt.4)

There we are again fort he last part of the movie, and this will going to be pretty intense.

You brought a snack!

MrsV: Let’s begin wit the appearance of the Nomads’. I found it pretty cool how the showed up at the scene and stopped right in front of our Cullen’s.

Fanny: Yep, they looked like rockstars!

MrsV: Carlisle shows here the real patriarch. “This is my family”. But Victoria really rocked by saying “I’m the one with the wicked curve ball” and I love how Jasper answered “Oh I think we can handle that” – great! Then James recognized Bella as a human and said * You brought a snack” - I love that line! But it’s really awkward when now all the Cullen’s try to look threatening. I mean, in the book it is always described as something like a wild cat ready to fight, but for me it just looked awkward.

Fanny: Just what I thought! You know what? I think it's because of the costumes they're wearing. They're just not cool, they look like a bunch of schoolkids. These baseball outfits? And Emmett in violet velvet plushy whatever thing?

And Edward just crouches... somehow... while James does this A1 martial arts wide stance. Wow!

But I liked that all the Cullens built a frontline while Esme stays behind, protecting Bella – did you notice that? In fact, they were very thoughtfully choreographed. But the silly outfits ruined it.Anyway... I made a bird view diagram to show the Cullen fight formation.

MrsV: Anyway, Edward takes Bella to the car and they run away. Fine. But, really someone enlighten me please, why the heck does Bella says. “No is no one going after me anymore” I mean, this is somehow totally taken out of context. She doesn’t know what the problem is at the time she says this line… I find it really wired but maybe it is just my English.

Fanny: I didn't get that either.

To do what..??

MrsV: This is a scene where I cry every time I see it, the way Bella treated Charlie was so heartbreaking sad. He is so sweet and has no clue what is going on and she is so mean. I know she has to, but still… sniffles “ To do what? Watch Baseball on the flat screen? This is you, not me”

Fanny: Oh... and: 'Bella, I just got you back!' Charlie didn't say that in the book. But it broke my heart in the movie.

MrsV: I like however Edward jumping into the truck and how he says “Your father is gonna forgive you”.

Fanny: Yeah... that was cool. I was wondering about the brand of hairgel he uses. I mean, hey, full speed airstream and he climbes into the car and every single streak is in its place. Must be really great stuff.

MrsV: Then they meet Laurent at the Cullen house and we hear again something what was supposed to be a growl but here rather sound like a snake?

Fanny: I think it was supposed to be a hiss?

MrsV: What is totally missing was this sweetness dialogue: Laurent: “ is she worth it?” and Jasper afterwards whispers to Bella “ You are”. But they never really focused on the secondary characters.

When we are finally in the garage Edward asks Rose to help, bitchy Rose says “What is she to me?” Carlisle answers: “Bella belongs to Edward, she is part of the family now and we protect our family” swoon. Awesome!! Go Carlisle, put her in her place!! Love that!

Fanny: U-huh... I won't say anything about Rosalie's bum here. No, I won't...

MrsV:Alice takes Bella and after one final look into each other’s eyes, Edward says “You are my life now” Woot, thanks for this quote, and then they drive away…

Fanny: Oh, he looked so lost, there alone in the garage, when the cars have left.I actually like their farewell in the book more, when they said nothing but Edward hugged Bella fiercly and kissed her and woosh and gone!

MrsV: Here now is something I really really missed: In the book Alice is on the back seat with Bella holds her in her arms and Bella cries. In the movie, Alice is in front with Jasper but this was an important scene to show the depth of their friendship why did they change that?? I missed that!

Fanny: Oh, there's a lot missing about Bella's and Alice's friendship. In the book, Alice told Bella everything about how Vampires were made and such, that would have made an awesome scene, look:

But well... like you said, they didn't deal very carefully with the other characters.

MrsV: Woot, anyway, let’s go into the hotel and seeing Alice’s visions, which was fine just like they showed and also we got some Jasper, Yippee finally he was allowed to say something… The things really rush now and at the same time we see Edward, Emmet and Rose running to keep James away from Bella, suddenly he realizes his mistake and turns around. So far so good.

James calls Bella: In the book it was great, specially how Bella described James voice: Just like out of a exclusive car commercial, awesome. In the movie they shortened the dialogue quite a bit but what was really disturbing was the fact the as soon as Bella hung up, she directly went outside the hotel into a taxi.

Fanny: I actually liked the way they shortened that. I was eager to go to the ballet studio.

MrsV: Ok, I know you are dying to discuss this, but how could have Alice NOT seen that???

Fanny: Holy shit!! Yes!

MrsV: I think I read this discussion on many other blogs already but I’m still not sure. Bella took a decision, and directly went outside. I think it was even more confusing in the book, because there was a night between the call and then Bella’s escape at the airport. In the movie one could at least argue that there wasn’t enough time for Alice to see that. And she was busy keeping an eye on Jasper since there were both at the reception from the hotel surrounded by so many humans. In the book it made not so much sense for me.

Tell him, tell him to revenge you!!

MrsV: Anyway, Bella went to the Ballet studio and the fight begins. It was really well done I would say, especially that we GOT a fight and not just had an unconscious Bella how didn’t know what was going on. James hits Bella and so on and on, but the best was when Edward came through the window!!! Woot! Totally in rage and how sweet was his glance when he looked at Bella trying to apologize? You really see the apologize in his eyes, so freaking lovely!

Fanny: Oh my god... I press pause everytime I watch the dvd, just to look at his lovely face! *swoons*

MrsV: Bam, Boom, Crush!

Edward totally fury bits James (…uhm lool, I always see the shit cheese instead of James’ skin since I saw the “making off”. giggles) anyway, Carlisle comes to stop Edward: “Son, remember who you are” swoooon. Love Carlisle there! love him!

Alice is with Bella but Why the Fuck does Alice hold her bloody hand to her nose?

Fanny: Oh, I guess that was just instinctively... don't blame our loverly Alice!

MrsV: Naa, I won’t you know I love her too, but still… *shakes head *. Carlisle and Edward are taking care of Bella while Alice rips James head of – nice!

Fanny: Yeah! *pumps fist*

MrsV: I love how desperately in pain Edward seems. “It’s the venom” Carlisle tells Edward to suck I off.

Fanny: Oh, and when he shouted: “Carliiiisle!”

MrsV: “I won’t be able to stop” Godohgod, my pulse quickens!

Edward starts sucking out the venom and we see a flashback from Bella, and this together with Rob’s song “Let me sigh” makes this scene super intense and yes, - Hello WIME!!- I cry again!

Fanny: Me too... oh god! *clings to MrsV's arm in a death grip* This is almost too much... oh god...

MrsV: *holds Fanny tightly …. “find the will” Sorry I am rambling, but ..OooOooOO this scene!!

Fanny: OooOooooo....

MrsV: And I know that Betti cries when she hears this song as well, right?

Fanny: Like a baby!!! Everytime.! Psst... I secretly made a drawing of Betti when she watched the dvd last time *giggles* Look:

The guy in the background is her hubs *cackles*

MrsV: Ohh, Fanny you shouldn’t have ..done… this… Oh god what will Betti say when she sees that ??

So Edward found the will and Bella’s in the hospital. Don’t want to get into Renee right know and focus on Edward. I think this scene was pretty close to the book and I really loved how Kristen showed her fear about loosing Edward.

Fanny: Oh yes. Oh God, his face is so sincere when he speaks to her. Oh my sweet tortured Edward!

MrsV: “Where else …. “ sigh , followed by a super sweet kiss. I found the scene really lovely! Ohhgod, we are coming to the end.. I don’t want it to end…

Fanny: Neither do I! Oh Mrs,V – I love you so much and soon we'll have to part...

MrsV: What am I supposed you do when you are gone?? I will miss you sooo freaking much, you have no clue how much I love you … wipes away a tear

“You look perfect!”

Fanny: Oh, just “Perfect.”

MrsV: Upps, Ok but: Well, I have to disagree! Where the fuck did they found this dress???

Fanny: Uhm, she said, Alice lend it to her...

MrsV: Not to mention the jacket she had. Oh wait, yes the jacket they might have found deep down in some grandma’s closet. Really, the leggings and the chucks were Kristen-like, not Bella! I might be OK with this but the dress and the jacket are a no-go! But how sweet was Edward looking so lovely at Bella when he says “Perfect” swooooon And giggles Charlie again: “I put a new pepper spray in your bag” … Hmm.. When talking about Charlie and Pepper Spray… this reminds me of something from the last discussion …

Prom…*sigh* The End

Fanny: Ohgodohgodohgod...

MrsV: Jacob at the Prom, yes he also was at the prom in the book, but there he danced with Bella, I’m fine with that. He delivered the lines he had to say and went. What I really missed was that none of the Cullen’s have been at the Prom! Why??? Why did they change that?

Fanny: Pffff... why did they leave out Jasper's special skills, why did they leave out half of Bella's and Alice's friendship, why did they... fuck! They just were not so much into the supporting characters.

MrsV:I always pictured this scene in my head: Jasper dancing with Alice and Rose dancing with Em all looking wonderful in beautiful dresses. Why!??!! I’m mad!

Fanny: Uhh... calm down. We're almost done!

MrsV: Lalala, some dancing and smiling from the third characters and then swoon Bella and Edward dancing in the Pavilion. Which I found a perfect ending scenery, much better than just sitting somewhere. The final kiss was wonderful!

No more words to add. And with this final lovely kiss I want to end this discussion… which makes me unbelievable sad! But, we still have next week for some random stuff

Fanny: Mrs.V – I thank you so much for having me over. I swear, I had the time of my life!!!

Can I hug you one more time? OoooOOooooo... maybe I can come back some time???

MrsV: come Sweetheart *hugs Fanny tightly* , I had such a great time with you too. And for damn sure you have to come back!!! *wispers* maybe we do a NewMoon discussion ? This would be wonderful!!!

To all our lovely readers and commenters: Take your pen, or your computer for the last part of this discussion.

The Book vs. Movie Discussion Recap Pt.3

Let me thank you again for all your wonderful and epic comments on this subject! It was a great discussion this week although it was tough because of Halloween, I truly appreciate that you all took your time to comment here. Big Big hug for all of you !!! And I need to apologize that I’m so super late this time with the recap, I had some busy and rough days.

Smuttier Than You, SBGDT, Honolulu Girl, i wear Alice Cullen pjs, itsjustme, bierbeck,Call of Duty Widow, FireCrotch, First Blush, Annie, uhyesplease

Love you all, but now please read what all the people had to say about the third part of the movie:

Everyone's staring...no not that guy...oh he just looked... or Robward looks different in every single scene!

The arrival at the school the first time together was really a funny and nice scene,

Although again he looked completely different here.

But I agree with Annie here who said:

Annie And also I thought it was a bit silly that Robward was wearing glasses in the scene where they arrive at school together for the first time, but I think Hardwicke was trying to go for the whole Robward-as-James-Dean look.

Definitely the James Dean look here! But yeah the sunglasses were not necessary but just looked cool! soon

Smuttier Than You I'm thinking they must have had multiple make-up artists because if you look, its almost like completely different techniques throughout the entire movie.

The book explains his going to hell statement in that he feels like he has no soul and thereby has no chance at an afterlife let alone heaven. Whereas the movie, not so much.

itsjustme: Well, you started out with Edwards sexy ass strutting around in the parking lot smirking and went straight to wetrob so I'm pretty sure this is the best thing I ever read already. Holy crikey.

bierbeck Yes Edward does look very different in almost every scene of the movie. Rob even comments on this in the narrative version of the movie. He is gorgeous in every scene so it does not really matter, but it is weird!

Fire Crotch One of my favorite parts of the movie is when Edward and Bella walk into school. "Everyone's staring...no not that guy...oh he just looked...heh." I loved it! Plus Edward had on his sunglasses. Sexy!.

But I guess we all agreed that he just looks smoking hot!!!

uhyesplease OK - I think the going to hell line is hilarious - but I really like the line where B goes, "Everyone is staring at us." E says, "Uh, that guys isn't. Oh wait, he just did." Kills me. And yes - he looks hot and is FINALLY smiling!

Right, I missed his smile in the movie he acted all tortured most of the time but here we really see that he also has a lighter modd and a adorable smile!!

Billy drives? and Robward has a British accent?

I have to say I never noticed the change of his accent but since I’m German I don’t count here! I’ll try to get that when I watch it the next time.

Smuttier Than You

Ahhh, lighthearted Edward! But I'm curious if they may have overplayed that part just to show the change in his mood when Billy and Jake were about to pull up.

Billy driving *shakes head* and not only that but he as driving a truck. In the book, it's a car. And I'm sorry, I'm not battering fish with something in a paper bag. Don't they know about ZipLock?

Honolulu Girl from Trueblood Twilight I do like this and think Edward is adorable in this part. For the life of me I could never understand what he says in the end (is it just me or is his American accent sometimes bad?) but he says Complications? Duhh.. And then yes, the infamous Billy driving and giving wolf evil eyes. Exactly. How??

itsjustme: I never noticed that Billy was driving before. Silly me always gets dazzled by Edward.

bierbeck The Billy driving thing is wrong. In the book they explain the reason they are selling Charlie the truck for Bella is that Billy is now in a wheelchair and can no longer drive.

Fire Crotch Oh, and another favorite part...when Edward jumps off her truck, pulls out the dent, and then forgets he's supposed to be an American vampire and slips into his British accent. So yummy! And yeah, Billy driving? That whole scene was just all sorts of messed up and forced.

Annie I looooved when Edward jumped onto her truck and then fixed the dent (although I didn't catch that second part until after a couple viewings of the film -- I was too fixated on Robward to notice precisely what he was doing, lol). I do like that Edward shows his lighter side here as it helps Bella (and we as audience members [and Bella wanna-bes]) see the more "human" side of Edward.

While I didn't catch the Edward fixing the dent thing the first time I saw the film, I did note two things of importance:

1. Robward's British accent slips into his pseudo-American accent when he tells Bella the line about her being not being worried to be invited into a house full of vampires. Watch that scene to hear what I'm talking about! It's adorable! :D

2. Billy is totally driving the car when he should totally not be driving the car. Oops! But who cares, really, when you have Robward in the same scene? ;)

"What did you expect, dungeons, coffins and moats?.. "Not the moats."

Although the house was totally different from how it was described in the book, nobody really cares. Honestly I would love living in that house!!! The Cullen cooking scene really rocked and specially Emmet was great in this scene. I’m glad I was not the only one how found this thud from Alice disturbing. But we all seem to adore Alice… sigh Oh Alice, I would love having you as my friend!

Smuttier Than You While the house was beautiful and the inside what I imagined in the book, the outside was all wrong.

I LOVE Emmett in this scene! Gah! So effin cute!

*side note* really digging Fanny's eye rolling Edward!

Honolulu Girl from Trueblood Twilight As for The Cullen House: I thought the movie house was great, had no issues with it. The Cullens cooking, cute. I actually didn't notice Emmett wielding his knife around till I watched the DVD commentary with Catherine and she pointed it out. I will keep my mouth shut about Rosalie and the jeans again but Alice *sigh* that's when we meet her. I just adore Alice. I didn't notice a thud but now I will look for it.

i wear alice cullen pjs i would love to live in the Cullen's house even though they digitally added the third floor. i thought this was one of the best/funniest scenes in the movie the lines "get a whiff of that", alice drops in and says

* heart flutters* "oh she does smell good" " its ok jasper you wont hurt her" and also the graduation caps cracked me up.

It was really lovely how she looked at Jasper when she said that, sweet sweet Alice!

Fire Crotch "Not the moats." Heh...another good line. I was suprised about the house because it was not at all what I pictured from the book. However, I do think it was pretty cool. And I especially liked the graduation caps...for matriculation...sounds so dirty! And the line where Esme tells Rose to, "clean this up, NOW!" was awesome!

Esme really showed that she’s the mother here trying to educated their people!

bierbeck I love the scene where he shows Bella his room. I love how Edward seems nervous and shy. Have you seen the version where Bella talks about making rainsticks? I am glad they cut that out.

Call of Duty Widow Everytime I see the cooking dinner scene I get hungry. I wish someone would make me italiano like that!

And again, Rosalie's ass isn't huge, it was just the stupid wash on the jeans. Not a good wardrobe choice for anyone. The makeup thing was very variable. I think the one thing I noticed most was how red Rob's ears were in some scenes. Mucho embarassment I guess makes the ear's turn red! …… The whole bring Bella to Edward's house to meet the family scene was good. Edward acted exactly like a regular 17 year old would. He was totes embarassed by his family!

Actually you are right, this exactly how every 17 year old would feel when introducing the new girlfriend to the family. But his family is just super sweet.

Annie Another great scene. Loved the shot of Rose, Emmett, Carlisle, and Esme cooking for Bella like the good little domesticated vampires they are. The part where Emmett brandishes the knife at Bella when she first enters the room always makes me giggle. Kellan is just so Emmett. I thought Carlisle and Esme were great, and so was Rosalie. Was she extra bitchy? Yeah, but that's how I see the character, so it works.

It also bothered me that Alice makes a very audible sound when she lands on the floor. I was like, um, I thought vampires are supposed to be stealthy? Like ninjas, you know? But that was brushed aside by the more immediate concern of Jasper looking constipated. What was up with his expression in that scene?!

And Edward's eye-rolling was priceless. (As is Betti's gif!!!) They should have had more eye-rolling in the movie as it's one of Stephenie Meyer's favorite ever things in the books. No lie, it happens at least five times every chapter.

I agree, Rose was bitchy but this is her character, she has to play her that way, although did you see her tiny smile when Bella said: “If I would become the meal?”

"You really shouldn't have said that"

Edward just looked so adorable and shy when he showed Bella her the room.

Smuttier Than You

Interesting little fact, Melissa Rosenberg was part of the writers strike so Catherine Hartwicke is the one who came up with the spider monkey line. I missed the whole growling and springing on her part soooo much! Huge disappointment for it to not be included.

I'm thinking Edward would definitely take Bella up in the treetops. He knows even if her clumsy ass slips, he will catch her. The real question is, would book Bella let him? Remember how scared she was the first time they ran in the woods? She kept her face buried in his back out of fear of hitting a tree.

You are right, she should have been super scared and not looking so peaceful and as if she has fun. The real Bella would have fainted :)

Honolulu Girl from Trueblood Twilight Edward and Bella in his room. Remember when he spins her around to dance, her hand does some weird thing and her boney fingers curl up. ARGH! That part always creeps me out. Spider Monkey. NO comment. Just a stupid line. That's all.

i wear alice cullen pjs i'm glad i wasn't the only one that noticed Edward soaking wet and Bella extremely dry what is she water repellent. no way in hell can you be that dry sitting under a tree while its raining. i can just imagine some smug asshole (jealous cause he cant be edward) standing right over rob with a fire hose. lol

Then it goes from best lines to the lamest line in the movie. "better hold on tight spinder monkey"

*rolls eyes* speaking of rolling eyes fanny's drawing is hilarious *winks at fanny*

itsjustme: I agree that Edward would have never said spider monkey, but I love it just the same. I loved the house and the scene with the family. The eye roll is priceless. My fave part is when he's all nervous and says, "Umm..yeah..this is my room" and he looks so beautiful! *swoon* The jump out the window sucked. I'm sure it was Catherine's fault and not Rob's.

bierbeck I love the scene where he shows Bella his room. I love how Edward seems nervous and shy. Have you seen the version where Bella talks about making rainsticks? I am glad they cut that out.

This scene was super stupid, I never got that one and the truly did the best and just cut I out!!

Fire Crotch Okay, when I first saw the scene in the room and Edward dashed off out the window with Bella I thought he was going to crash through the windows. I didn't realize that the doors were open. Kind of weird, but at least now I don't freak out every time I watch the movie. The dancing thing was awkward...pretty much everything about this scene was awkward, so it was good that we could laugh about the spider monkey thing and the crazy bad special effects.

Flying squirrelward...epic genius Fanny!

Annie I love this scene so fricking much. His room was amazement -- I really feel it captured the essence from the book. The part where Edward takes Bella flying (really, we can't call it anything else) from tree-top to tree-top wasn't exactly what I expected from the film, seeing as we don't have anything like that in the book, but I do like the part where the two of them are up in the highest tree looking at each other instead of the awesomely awesome natural beauty around them (though I can't blame Bella for being distracted, lol).

But my absolute favorite part of this scene was the part where Edward tells Bella, "You really shouldn't have said that" prior to taking her flying. Why? Because we have our first (if I'm not mistaken) instance of the famous "crooked smile" in the film. ::swoon::

uhyesplease Fanny - I loved that part too - "if I were drinking your blood, for instance.." LOVE IT! And the cute look on his face too (YES on the teeth!)

The Kiss!

The super turn on hot kissing scene, I always love to see it and I can watch it over and over again. I think it really worked better than if this kiss would have outside.

Smuttier Than You

*sigh* I loved this, even though it wasn't in alignment with the book. THIS part of the movie, they did right.

itsjustme: The kiss. Wow! The only way this could have been better is if he had been kissing me. The twitch in his jaw after the first peck gets me everytime. So damn sexy! But I gotta complain for just one sec. When he pulls away from her and 'flies" to the wall. He says, "your stronger than I thought" she responds by saying, "I wish I could say the same for you" Bella would not have said that and it's a bitchy thing to say to my Edward and I don't like it one bit.

bierbeck Kissing scence- swoon! I love all the kissing in the book but it does not compare to seeing Rob doing it. It is so steamy. I have been known to rewind and rewatch that part of the movie over and over:)

Fire Crotch I can't talk about the kissing scene...it was incredibly awkward watching it with my mom and my 12 year old niece because you knew we were all putting ourselves in Bella's place. And the panties...too bad they weren't Pattinson Panties. But really, I was a little shocked because Edward is supposed to be so prim and proper...can't believe he was okay with having her around in just a t-shirt and panties...I thought she wore sweatpants in the book.

Annie And speaking of swooning, oh em gee, the kissing scene. It was just perfect. They both really captured the awkwardness mingled with the excitement of the first kiss between Bella and Edward. I wasn't too fond of the spesh effects of Edward flying backwards (Hardwicke really likes seeing Robby fly, I guess), but as it leads into my second favorite thing in this scene -- the post-coital snuggling where Edward lays in bed watching as Bella sleeps. Awww....

uhyesplease Oh the kiss....I giggled like a schoolgirl. In the theater, I had jr high-esc flashbacks. Like I briefly wondered what it would be like to kiss someone like that - like i was some kind of virgin or something. WTH was wrong with me! Seriously - I turned 13 or something watching the kiss!

i wear alice cullen pjs So the make out scene was hot, but it creeped me out a little. Edward (jumps through window) "do you do that a'lot?" "just the past couple of months" admits to watching her sleep????? STALKER who the hell does that? and whats he doing while watching her sleep? i recently read a lemon where Edward caught Bella in a compromising position fantasizing about Edward i think it probably should have been the other way around... Edward the peeping tom...

Hmmm, I know you have a point here. I mean yes “..the last couple of month” it really sounds like a Stalker. But well that is Edward and although it is totally embarrassing I find it rather sweet because it shows how fascinated he is with Bella, how deeply in love he is with her. Rofl, Edward the peeping tom..

Charlie – The Pepper Spray Rambo

Well, we all love Charlie but in this scene he was priceless!! Fannys drawing would actually look super cool on a T-shirt. We should upload it on Cafe Press hehe.. We should make a giveaway...just thinking..

Smuttier Than You I really love Charlie, 70s porn moustache and all

itsjustme: Charlie's "bring him in" line is one of the best in the movie IMO. Such a good dad.

bierbeck Billy Burke is awesome in all scenes- nuff said.

Fire Crotch I need to have the Charlie Pepper Spray Rambo pic blown up into a 8.5x11 so I can frame it...hilarious! I almost peed my pants Where the hell did I put those adult diapers?

Annie Yay for Charlie!!! Billy Burke is amazing. The to the End.

uhyesplease : Fanny - Billyburke aka rambo! classic!

Muse, Jasper and Edward *flipping the bird* rocks!

When I think about the Baseball scene I hear muse in my head and I see Jasper! Actually, I hear the song every day from home to work in my car and I have it as a ringtone for my BFF. But again, the dresses for the girls were just a super bad choice. I don’t get it really!

Smuttier Than You -Supermassive Black Hole AKA Supermassive Whack A Mole

Jasper spinning the bat, the man has magic hands, I'm just sayin...

I wish Rosalie and Esme had put a lil more bend in the bill of their hats. This is Mr. NSS's favorite scene because of Rosalie's ass in baseball pants. GAWD, Jasper after he swings the bat, sweet baby Jesus, his mouth *fans self*

Honolulu Girl from Trueblood TwilightThe Baseball scene. MY FAVORITE SCENE. I love Muse. I can't say that enough. I love Muse and paired up with The Cullens playing Baseball in slow motion. Awesome!! "My monkey man" Love it!

I love it too when she says that, super proud of her lovely Emmet…

i wear alice cullen pjs finally the baseball scene. it must have been cold cause the make up couldn't cover Alice's red nose.

or the fact Esme is wearing mittens??? i love rose in this scene she actually smiles while playing around with Emmett, then turns fierce when Bella calls her out HOT STUFF!!!!! i agree with Mr. NSS's. Rose in baseball pants :).. i'm not sure why a'lot of you criticized her for having a fat ass???(most men i know including myself like a little junk in the trunk.) in my opinion Nikki reed is very pretty i like her as a brunette better though.

Rose’s ass, a topic for itself. I think we are not complaining about the size of her ass but more abut the wardrobe. I mean, Rose is undeniable nicely in shap but they just choose always the wrong pants for her! She is gorgeous and I think she also has a great ass, one just doesn’t see this.

itsjustme: Jasper does steal the baseball scene, swinging that bat around. I love Edward flipping off Emmett-shows real brotherhood. And the Muse song is perfect!

bierbeck The first time I saw the movie I thought the baseball scene was really hokey. The second time I watched it i even skipped over it! But now after seeing it several more times I can appreciate it for just being fun.

Fire Crotch The baseball scene...the girls hair all looked so bad. The hats didn't help. The music was awesome. I need more Jasper bat tricks. The growling was epic fail, but I think this has been covered multiple times. The monkey man thing...I think you need to keep monkey quotes to 1 per movie unless the movie is about monkeys.

Actually I think the hats were the biggest problem, either you wear a Baseball hat or not, but the way the girls wear them was just wrong. I guess this was probably to be still able to see their faces, god knows..

Annie Another awesomely awesome scene! I loved it, of course, and as testament of how truly cool this scene is, my own ever-loving boyf who hates Twilight (true story), loved this scene. It is just that cool.

And Jasper is amazing when he says, "Oh, I think we can handle that" to the nomad vamps. His southern accent is on full display and I love the little glimmer in his eye as he says that. Sorry if I'm getting a little ahead of myself and the discussion here, but I just had to bring that up!

uhyesplease MrsV - oh yeah - Jasper totally took that AND Edward flipping of Emmett is hilarious.

Exhibit:

Call of Duty Widow Since this movie obviously focuses on Edward and Bella getting together, I'm really looking forward to New Moon, then Eclipse. I'm not sure how much of the Cullen's and their personalities will be shown in New Moon except for Alice's. I have high hopes!

I have the highest hopes too, but I’m pretty sure they do it better. I can’t wait to se New Moon. But hey!!! It is November!!! Which means, 16 days for you and 18 days for Betti and me!! jumps up and down* !!!

And go and show Artsie some Love, she’s doing a great recap on her Lullaby post, if you haven't seen it yet, go the music she choose was wonderful!
